The High Performance Cassandra Cookbook was a lot of hard work. When it was done I found that Apache Cassandra keeps adding new features, and I still wanted to write more recipes. So I asked myself, Why stop writing recipes? and this site was born.

This site also gives me a chance to go beyond what could be done with the cookbook, and be colourful, go on tangents, etc. None of this would have been appropriate for the cookbook.
